What is a Windows hosting?
Most shared web hosting providers use a version of Linux, however for some users a Windows server package will be more appropriate. Windows server accounts usually allow the use of ASP or ASP.NET scripting and sometimes also provide SQL Server databases. Windows hosting is often a little more expensive than the Linux packages as Windows is not a free operating system.
